As the Warehouse Shipping Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products. This role involves various tasks, including picking, packing, labeling, and shipping orders. The Warehouse Shipping Associate plays a critical role in maintaining our high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment in a timely and accurate manner.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control activities, including stock counts, replenishments, shipping supplies, and maintaining an organized warehouse.
- Shipping: Ensure orders are shipped accurately and efficiently, including labeling and preparing shipping documents.
- Receiving: Additional responsibilities include helping the ReceivingSpecialistwith product that needs to be tagged and allocated to store locations
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before shipping and report any issues to the Logistic Manager
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipped items and prepare necessary shipping documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other logistics staff to meet daily, weekly, and monthly shipping targets.
- Housekeeping: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Schedule:
- Varied workweek based on seasonal demands; weekends and evenings required as needed.
- Typical schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Winter Hours: 38 - 48 hours
- Summer Hours: 30 - 40 hours
- Regular workdays: Monday through Friday, with 12-15 Saturdays a year.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License with no recent moving violations.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Shipstation, FedEx Manager, Senitron, RFID, and other internal retail systems.
- Competent in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
- Reading, writing, math, and communication skills are required.
- Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to independently meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for several hours.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Frequent lifting and moving of merchandise or other inventory.
- Vision to read detailed instructions and labels, distance and color vision, peripheral and depth perception.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Work will be performed in a warehouse environment.
