Arizona Control Specialists, Inc. (AZCS) is a Building Systems Integrator specializing in HVAC Controls, Lighting Controls, Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, Power Management, and technology integrations.

Responsibilities: As a BAS APM at AZCS, you will work closely with the Project Manager (PM) and installation team to support various aspects of projects, including but not limited to installation, startup, testing, commissioning, and system design. Position requires advanced knowledge of low voltage controls and systems. Must be capable of system startup, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of complex control systems.

Your duties will encompass:

  • Assisting in project planning and implementation.

  • Meeting with stakeholders to discuss project details and deliverables.

  • Coordinating tasks and managing project deliverables.

  • Learning to execute tasks at a project manager level under supervision.

  • Producing documentation such as submittals, as-built drawings, and closeout

documents.

  • Communicating effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients.

  • Operating computer software for project reporting and technical tasks.

  • Conducting field tests, diagnosing equipment failures, and making necessary

repairs.

  • Managing project manpower and budget for optimal profitability

  • Maintaining accurate records of project activities

Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you must possess:

  • Exceptional time management skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university (technical or bachelor

degree preferred) or equal education and experience.

  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical

equipment and electronics (24, 120, 277, and 480 volt), with at least 2 years of

HVAC experience.

  • Proficiency in Office Suite, especially Word and Excel; ability to learn new

programs as needed.

  • Previous experience in BASIC computer programming is a plus.

Minimum one year of experience in a managerial, foreman or lead capacity.

Valid Arizona Driver License with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Extensive understanding of EMS, medium voltage switchgear, starters, and

variable frequency drives.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and controls interface.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work off ladders or lifts for extended periods and in various weather

conditions.
