The Plant Manager will play a critical role in achieving our production goals and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet company goals and customer demand.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, technicians, and other plant staff.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and training to staff.
  • Quality and Safety:
    • Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement and maintain food safety programs, including HACCP and GMP.
    • Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Efficiency and Cost Management:
    • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
    • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Manage plant budget and control operational costs.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Prepare and present reports on production metrics, quality, safety, and other key performance indicators.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage large-scale expansion projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
    • Collaborate with engineering groups to optimize plant layout, equipment, and processes.
    • Analyze and manage financial aspects of projects, including budgeting and cost control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5-10 years) in a plant management role within the food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetic manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale expansion projects.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Proven experience in leading and managing engineering groups.
  • Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with automated food production systems.
