Director of Marketing & Leasing

 

Our client is one of the leading managers of affordable residential properties in the metro New York area. They specialize in tax credit and HUD-financed multi-family residential housing.  They are currently seeking a Director of Marketing & Leasing to oversee the daily operations/ activities/ workflow of the Leasing Department.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise and Direct team of various leasing staff members
  • Report to senior management any deficiencies that require development of ongoing marketing and leasing strategies to ensure the continued releasing of existing properties under management.
  • Monitoring vacancies and ensuring leasing staff rent apartments in an effort to reduce turnaround time
  • Ensure that all units are rented in accordance with current LIHTC income guidelines and protocols. (As provided by Director of Marketing/leasing)
  • Maintain weekly internal reports to track potential and current vacancies to include the updating vacancy report daily with the data emailed by main office and onsite leasing agents to increase efficiency.
  • Responsible for monitoring and supervising waiting list for all properties.
  • Ensure that rejection, appeals and disqualifications are handled in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing completed lease/compliance files to ensure properly organized and ready for a compliance review before being scanned into Yardi

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years’ minimum experience in Affordable Housing
  • Experience with Low income tax credit (LIHTC) or Section 8 applicants.
  • Strong Marketing experience
  • Must be familiar with TRACS monthly voucher processing.
  • Experience interacting with NYCHDC
  • Leadership abilities and some experience managing others
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must possess a positive attitude.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Yardi software experience

 

 

 COMPENSATION

·         $115K - $120K plus benefits
