Veterinarian Receptionist for Natomas Veterinary Hospital

Natomas Veterinary Hospital is a fast growing, privately-owned, small animal veterinary hospital that is highly valued by the community for our quality and compassionate care. We are looking to expand our staff with an experienced receptionist looking for a Full-Time opportunity to showcase their skills and grow with the hospital. Excellent customer service and computer skills are required.

About our team:

Natomas Veterinary Hospital has been a staple of the community for the past 13 years. We are a busy, 100% small animal focused practice dealing with a wide range of routine and challenging cases. We work closely with specialists to provide gold standard medicine. We have a cohesive team of 4 veterinarians with 20 support staff and are planning to grow significantly over the next two years. Our success and growth are achieved by looking after our clients, their pets and supporting our colleagues.

Veterinary Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check-in animal patients
  • Gather and certify pet and owner information
  • Manage a multi-line phone system, relaying messages correctly.
  • Manage multiple avenues of client communication (App, texting, email, phone calls, etc) with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
  • Maintain records
  • Schedule appointments
  • Process payments
  • Prepare prescriptions and explain instructions
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed

Veterinary Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications

  • Positive, friendly attitude, and ability to maintain composure in emergency or intense medical/client situations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in Veterinary position
  • Customer service skills
  • Basic math skills and computer literacy
  • Comfortable working with animals
  • Experience with EVet is a bonus

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
