Leads the sales team of an industrial commercial roofing company specializing in roof repair and replacement services. As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, overseeing the sales process, and developing strategies to maximize market penetration within the industrial commercial building trades and services industry. The primary focus will be on building strong customer relationships, expanding client base, and achieving sales targets.

  1. Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the executive team to formulate effective sales strategies, set ambitious sales goals, and establish action plans to achieve them. Continuously assess market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine the sales approach.
  2. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture that drives productivity and encourages professional growth. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve individual and team performance.
  3. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and increase sales revenue. Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, contractors, property managers, and other stakeholders to generate new leads and partnerships.
  4. Sales Process Management: Oversee the sales process from prospecting to closing deals. Ensure that the team follows established sales procedures and workflows, providing guidance and support when needed. Implement effective sales tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong and long-lasting relationships with existing clients to promote repeat business and referrals. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  6. Sales Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data and metrics to assess team performance, identify trends, and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies. Use insights to optimize sales techniques and drive continuous improvement.
  7. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with other departments, such as operations, production, service, marketing, and finance, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and ensure a cohesive company-wide approach.
  8. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance department to set sales budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and take appropriate actions to achieve financial targets.

9. Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to industrial commercial building trades and services to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required)
  2. Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the industrial commercial building trades and services sector, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  3. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a sales team effectively.
  4. In-depth knowledge of industrial commercial roofing products, repair techniques, and replacement services.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  6. Results-orientated mindset with a strategic approach to sales and business development within the indudstrial commercial building trades and services industry.
  7. Proficient in CRM software and sales analytical tools.
  8. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend imdustry events.

 

Work Environment: This position operates in an office and field environment

Physical Demands: Climbing ladders and some lifting

Expected Hours of Work: As necessary to complete goals

Travel: Primarily within Michigan
