Sunny Construction & Development is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Site Supervisor for our multifamily development. The ideal candidate will support the Construction Site Supervisor and Project Manager in overseeing construction activities, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project timelines. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our construction sites and the successful delivery of our projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Site Supervision: Assist the Construction Site Supervisor and Project Manager in managing day-to-day site operations, including coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel.
  • Quality Control: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
  • Resource Management: Assist in managing the allocation and utilization of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and address any issues or conflicts that arise on the construction site promptly and efficiently.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
  • Scheduling: Help develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met on time.
  • Training: Assist in training new site workers on company policies, safety procedures, and job-specific tasks.
  • Site Cleanliness: Ensure the construction site is kept clean and organized, facilitating a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field, with prior supervisory experience a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials. Proficiency with construction management software and tools is desirable.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification or other relevant safety training is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues as they arise on the construction site.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects.
