Job DescriptionJob Description

CAE Engineer

 

·         Lead the CAE analysis of next generation Model e products, in one or more of the following areas: Body, Interiors, Closures, Seats and Frames.

·         Work with D&R engineers to drive design resolutions using both linear and non-linear CAE analysis.

·         Develop component, system and vehicle level CAE models and complete analysis following CAE modeling/analysis guidelines.

·         Direct other analysts to create CAE models and run analysis.

·         Where appropriate, conduct DOE studies utilizing optimization tools to meet performance requirements within the constraints of conflicting attributes such as cost and mass

·         Develop CAE based countermeasures to meet requirements and work with program members to develop design proposals that meet cost and weight targets.

·         Participate in CAE/design reviews to present and communicate findings with other team members.

·         Maintain records of all CAE models and document as needed.

 

Skills Required:

·         CAE Analysis capability using various codes (pre- and postprocessing).

·         Knowledge of body, closures, and chassis CAE.

 

Experience Required:

·         Minimum 3 years

 

Education Required:

·         BS., Engineering
