Job DescriptionJob Description

A-Line Staffing is now hiring for a Behavioral Health Service Manager in the Austin, TX area. The Behavioral Health Service Manager would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40 hours per week.

Traveling Radius: Most of the face-to-face assessments can be completed via Zoom with video. However, there are some assessments that do require in-person visits. Assignments are made based on member/Service Coordinator proximity in order to minimize travel time wherever possible. In metro areas, travel is usually somewhere within a 10-30 mile radius. Travel distance may increase in rural areas but we always work to minimize travel time as much as possible so team members are able to focus on member-facing tasks.

Behavioral Health Service Manager Compensation:

  • The pay for this position is $32 - $35 hourly, plus mileage reimbursement
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Behavioral Health Service Manager Highlights:

  • The required availability for this position is as follows: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri

Behavioral Health Service Manager Responsibilities:

·       Staff will be responsible for managing a caseload of 75-85 members on the health plan ages 3-21.

·       They will conduct regular outreach (default monthly) and will perform assessments yearly and as needed to determine needs, care gaps, current services, satisfaction of services, and provide education to members and families of members on the health plan.

·       They will then coordinate any needed or existing care and monitor care for satisfaction and member for progress throughout the year.

·       Yearly assessments will be conducted each year and as needed per change of condition and will be in person at member’s home or in an agreed upon public location that ensures HIPAA compliance.

·       Staff will complete monthly calls and visits (telehealth or in person per member choice) to all members on caseload unless a different frequency of outreach is established and documented.

·       Staff will work to remedy and circumvent member issues with providers when they arise.

·       Staff will document all interactions in a timely manner as directed by internal work processes.

·       Staff will staff appropriate cases with leadership when guidance is needed.

·       Staff will provide follow up following member discharge from hospital to assess for needs, provide education, and coordinate services.

·       Staff will work with local waivers, clinics, providers, and community entities to connect member with services covered and not covered by health plan.

·       Staff will maintain license and complete all activities required for this


Behavioral Health Service Manager Requirements:

  • Licensed as an RN, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas
  • 1-2 years minimum Case Management experience
  • Clinical Behavioral Health experience with children and adolescents
  • Working with pediatric population in Behavioral health setting 1-2 years
  • Software Skills Required: Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new software quickly with training

Behavioral Health Service Manager Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the foster care population or child welfare
  • Motivational interviewing skills
