Founded in 2009, Essential’s Flowers specializes in the wholesale importation and distribution of flowers and associated products. We are a small, family-run enterprise dedicated to serving the Houston area and are eager to welcome a new team member. No prior experience needed; just bring a positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and an eagerness to learn.


Core Responsibilities:

·        Deliver floral goods to clients and coordinate future orders with them.

·        Unpack incoming shipments and prepare them for client delivery.

·        Examine products for any shortages, damage, or quality issues; document any problems encountered.

·        Prepare documentation for tracking orders.

·        Maintain inventory checklists consistently.

·        Monitor shipment movements.

·        Assist in planning product inventory management and ordering with the business owner.

·        Ensure business equipment is kept in good working condition, particularly delivery vehicles.

·        Help maintain cleanliness of office space and warehouse equipment.

·        Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

 Requirements & Desired Skills:

·        Must hold a valid Texas Driver’s License.

·        No vehicle accidents within the past three years.

·        No DUI or related charges within the last three years.

·        Capable of manually lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis.

·        Regular handling of live floral products such as cut flowers, tropicals, foliage, etc., is required.

·        Strong desire to work efficiently within a fast-paced, team environment

·        Excellent problem-solving skills

·        Exceptional communication skills for positive client interactions

·        Spanish language proficiency is advantageous, but not mandatory

·        Familiarity with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite preferred

 

Workplace Considerations:
We offer some flexibility regarding weekly schedules; specific needs can be discussed during the interview process. The workload varies seasonally with peak periods requiring longer hours in February, May, and December. Work will be performed at our location. We provide competitive compensation details which will be reviewed during an interview.
