We are seeking an experienced Inbound/Import Logistics Manager to oversee  container management for our distribution center centers in the USA. . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and experience handling inbound/import shipments from suppliers all over the world. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and proactively manage inbound container shipments from various suppliers. Work closely with carriers(i.e. international shipping companies such as Hapag Loyd, Maersk, CMA-CGM MSC, One, Evergreen, etc.).and freight forwarders. Optimize container utilization, reduce lead times, and minimize costs. Manage network of ports in terms of timely receipt and movement of the container from the ports to the distributor's warehouses. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Resolve any issues or delays in container shipments promptly and effectively. Manage a group of a few people and it requires extensive coordination and  communications with purchasing, operations and inventory suppliers and executive management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Proven experience in inbound logistics, specifically in container management. Experience with freight forwarders and strong understanding of import regulations. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in logistics software and MS office suite and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities  effectively.
