Position Overview:
The Buyer Planner is responsible for managing the procurement and planning activities within the organization. This role ensures that materials and products are purchased at the best possible cost while maintaining quality standards and meeting production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management

Source and procure materials, components, and products from approved suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Inventory Control

Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
Implement inventory management strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Demand Planning

Analyze sales forecasts and production schedules to develop procurement plans.
Coordinate with production and sales teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Adjust procurement plans based on changes in demand and production requirements.
Supplier Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
Address and resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers promptly.
Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews.
Cost Management

Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives.
Track and report on procurement costs and savings achieved.
Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with budgetary constraints.
Quality Assurance

Ensure that purchased materials and products meet quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with the quality control team to address any quality issues.
Implement corrective actions to resolve quality-related problems.
Logistics Coordination

Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Manage inbound and outbound shipments to optimize transportation costs.
Track and expedite orders to meet production deadlines.
Data Analysis and Reporting

Analyze procurement and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Generate reports on procurement activities, inventory status, and supplier performance.
Use data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Compliance and Documentation

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and inventory transactions.
Prepare and update procurement documentation, including purchase orders and contracts.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Buyer Planner or in a similar procurement role.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
