Premier Academy, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Director. This role is pivotal in supporting the Center Director in administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and fostering an enriching learning environment for our students. Knowledge of Georgia Bright from the Start regulations, administrative proficiency, and familiarity with Head Start and Early Head Start programming are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Assist the Center Director in day-to-day administrative tasks including but not limited to scheduling, record-keeping, correspondence, and maintaining compliance with Georgia Bright from the Start regulations.

  • Supporting Center Director: Collaborate closely with the Center Director to execute strategic initiatives, maintain high-quality standards of education and care, and contribute to the overall success of the center.

  • Attendance Management: Oversee attendance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with staff and parents regarding attendance policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of Head Start and Early Head Start Programming: Demonstrate understanding and familiarity with Head Start and Early Head Start guidelines, curriculum, and best practices. Support the implementation of these programs to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.

  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and other team members to create a nurturing and inclusive environment conducive to learning and development.

  • Parent Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents and families, providing support, information, and resources as needed. Act as a liaison between the center and families to facilitate open communication and partnership in children's education.

  • Quality Rated: Knowledge of Georgia's Quality Rated system to withhold the standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or administrative role within an early childhood education setting.

  • Knowledge of Georgia Bright from the Start regulations and experience with compliance procedures.

  • Familiarity with Head Start and Early Head Start programming and requirements.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.

  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
