Job DescriptionJob Description
  • Lead and execute the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy
  • Analyze and record accruals for expenses incurred but not yet invoiced or paid.
  • Manage prepaid expenses, ensuring accurate amortization and proper accounting treatment.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash balances.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budgeted and forecasted figures.
  • Provide insights into financial trends and fluctuations during the month-end close process.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Operations, to obtain necessary information for month-end close.
  • Address inquiries and provide financial information to support decision-making processes.
  • Monthly Franchisee invoicing and collections.
  • Complex contract end-customer invoicing.
  • Excel skill set to export, manipulation, audit, and import of large data files associated with end-customer invoicing and vendor accounts payable.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve month-end close processes.
  • Implement changes and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end close processes.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
