Divinity Staffing is looking for an experienced Unit Manager of nursing to help organize and oversee the nursing operations of a long- term care facility in the Wilmington area. The goal is to foster an excellent environment that will support everyone in working to the benefit of community and patients alike. Compact/DE RN license required. 

Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience as an RN

  • 3 year long term care experience

  • 3 years nursing management experience

  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, regulatory

    agencies and the general public.

  • Must be compassionate and understanding of the needs of the elderly and disabled.

  • Must support and promote the core vision, mission and values of the Kutz Senior Living Campus.

  • Must comply with HIPPA regulations related to confidentially of all resident care information.

  • Basic computer literacy and Point Click Care knowledge

Job Summary:

  • Completes written/oral reports for the Director of Nursing concerning the operation of his/her units
  • Makes daily rounds on his/her units to ensure that all nursing personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
  • Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees.
  • Ensures all established policies and procedures, including dress code andwearing name tags, are followed by all nursing personnel.
  • Makes recommendations to the Director of Nursing regarding equipment and supply needs of the department.

  • Participates in the development of a written plan of care for each resident that identifies the problems/goals and interventions to be accomplished.

  • Reviews complaints/concerns expressed by residents or families and initiates written grievance report. Documents actions taken to resolve the complaint at the Unit level, or refer to the Director of Nursing or other Department Head for resolution.

  • Attends all Nursing Department/Interdisciplinary meetings including Care Plan, SWIFT, Psychoactive Drug Monitoring, Quality Assessment and Nursing Department Stand-Up, and safety rounds.

  • Participates in regulatory agency inspections.

  • .Serves as a liaison between all three shifts ensuring coordinated communication of residents’ plans of care and new policies and procedures.

  • Assists nursing personnel in performing nursing care procedures as necessary. 12. Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, while ensuring residents safety.etc.

  • Supports and enforces infection control policies and procedures.

  • Represents the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing during their absence from the facility.

  • Regardless of all duties described above, the Unit Manager will be expected to automatically perform any and all duties professionally recognized as appropriate towards maximizing the care and comfort of all residents.
