We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit team. This role involves critical patient care and the ability to manage complex medical situations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing patient charts, medication plans, and diagnostic results upon entry to the unit.
- Monitoring essential vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
- Utilizing specialized medical equipment to interpret critical measurements.
- Administering prescribed medications and adjusting dosages as necessary.
- Conducting diagnostic evaluations to identify changes in patient conditions and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Communicating with healthcare professionals regarding patient status and following up on treatment plans.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Supervising nursing assistants and support personnel within the unit.
- Providing clear explanations of treatments and procedures to patients and their families, addressing any inquiries they may have.
Equipment Utilized:
Experience with Cerner System and Omnicell automated medication management is preferred.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting, specifically within a Progressive Care Unit.
Certifications Required:
BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
