• 3-5 years experience in Fastener warehouse
Role And Responsibilities
• Assigning work and functions to all warehouse staff
• Reorganize entire warehouse by categories and location.
• Continually assist Management in all areas of warehouse in growth and cost savings
• Communicate & reinforce job expectations from management to staff
• Read customer orders, work orders, sales orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to
be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence
such as size, type, style, color or product codes
• Ensure warehouse / will call area is accessible & safe for staff and customer traffic
• Utilize Personal Protective & Safety Equipment
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a
holding area or shipping department
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method
• Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
• Complete daily logs into inventory log
• Organize warehouse and work area to maintain order at all times
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
• Overseeing the handling of consignments
• Safely operate warehouse vehicles & equipment
• Ensuring the proper labeling, tagging and packaging of goods and materials
• Able to train Warehouse staff in all aspect of job duties
• Resolve errors on inbound/outbound freight
• Check packing list against purchase orders to ensure accuracy of shipment.
• Able to recognize clerical errors on work orders, shipping orders, and sales orders prior to shipping
goods
• Knowledge of product and able to cross reference vendor item codes against company item number
• Navigate through basic functions in WMS/QuickBooks
• Monitor receiving operations and work with drivers to ensure materials are received correctly
• Ensure proper product handling requirements are met.
Required Skills
• 3-5 years experience in Fastener warehouse environment
• Responsible, self-starter with a proactive personality
• Ability to Motivate a team and accomplish goals
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
• High attention to detail
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and DMV print out required
