Job Summary:

The Real Estate Investment Analyst/Associate will work directly with firm Partners and Senior Managers to provide financial analysis modeling, underwriting, market research and project level budgeting.  Daily attendance in the office is required.

Essential Job Duties:

1.     Assist in the underwriting, budgeting, and valuation of multifamily and commercial development opportunities using historical financial statements, performance and discounted cash flow analysis.

2.     Conduct various types of financial analysis including but not limited to: complex financial modeling, waterfall return structures, internal rate of return, present value, value-add, replacement cost and residual analysis.

3.     Request, review, and monitor property level financial reports for portfolio management.

4.     Manage internal budgets and track historical income and expense data for land, multifamily and commercial properties.

5.     Perform market research and compose market demographic, economic conditions and area overviews.

6.     Create professional looking offering memorandums and marketing materials for development and other investment opportunities.

7.     Assist with due diligence reviews for current and future properties.

8.     Provide general support to firm Principals and Senior Managers and perform other tasks/ad hoc assignments as needed.

Skills, Education and Experience:

1.     Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience required.

2.     Commercial real estate experience required.

3.     Minimum of two to four years of complex financial modeling experience.

4.     Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Sophisticated Microsoft Excel modeling skills are required.

5.     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

6.     Excellent oral and written communication skills.

7.     A self-motivated individual with an attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
