Hawaii Heart Associates (www.hawaiiheartassociates.com) is a rapidly growing cardiology group practice in the State of Hawaii. We provide excellent care with genuine aloha for our patients and their families. We treat our patients like 'ohana. Currently, we are seeking a full-time medical assistant for our Maui clinics. We are seeking candidates who are compassionate, are creative thinkers, possess strong work ethic, have “out of the box” thinking, pay attention to details, and are eager to learn. Ideal candidates embrace change and innovation, as our practice is strongly committed to implementing current evidence-based medicine and technology for patient care in the cardiovascular specialty.

Clinical Duties will include and not limited to:

  • Obtain and accurately document patient medical history
  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs: heart rate, oxygen saturation, respiration rate, blood pressure (automated and manual)
  • Complete lab requisitions
  • Prepare/sterilize exam and procedure rooms for patients
  • 12-lead electrocardiograms
  • Placement and monitoring of cardiac event monitors
  • Assist with treadmill diagnostic tests

Administrative Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and confirm appointments with clients, their families and industry partners
  • Promptly manage required patient documents (scan and fax)
  • Maintain patient charts with confidentiality, accountable to HIPAA standards
  • Collaborates with providers and operational teams to ensure reports are submitted in a timely and accurate manner

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

Ability to commute/relocate:

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
