Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team in Fairfax, VA. This role involves coordinating and participating in the collection, interpretation, writing, and dissemination of technical documentation in support of communications and information systems projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing technical documentation and translating technical information into clear, readable documents for both technical and non-technical audiences.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and participate in the collection, interpretation, writing, and dissemination of technical documentation in support of communications and information systems projects.
  • Establish procedures for data acquisition and administration.
  • Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Write and edit procedural manuals for users.
  • Create and maintain online tutorials and learning materials.
  • Conduct research in specific technology, information systems, and communications specialties.

 Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in preparing technical documentation.
  • Strong research skills in specific technology, information systems, and communications specialties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in writing and editing procedural manuals and creating online tutorials.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
