Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCentury Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Controller to join their team for a Contract role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected hourly rate $50 to $60 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation, analysis, and distribution of the company’s consolidated financial statements.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes including variance analysis to ensure accurate timely and relevant reporting.
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs. Adhere to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable about proposed legislation.
  • Supervise accounting, finance departments and provide leadership and guidance to ensure efficient operations and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare during month-end close, fixed assets are reviewed for accuracy, and depreciation calculations are performed.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
  • 3-5 years accounting manager or controller experience on the front end
  • CPA preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Experience: 
  • Industry experience in a Standard Costing environment.
  • Peachtree system experience preferred.
  • Experience maintaining accurate financial records, including balance sheets, invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
