Job Title: Bilingual Well Control Technical Instructor

Location: Houston, TX

Pay: $85-$90/hr.

Job Description:

As a Bilingual Well Control Technical Instructor, you will play a crucial role in teaching accredited IADC and IWCF well control courses and other related technical classes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all work meets industry standards, updating training records, collaborating with associated organizations, meeting deadlines, and providing support to students. You will be tasked with developing training courses, creating appropriate material, scheduling courses to meet operational requirements, assisting with program simulators and well models, and maintaining all systems and equipment. Your ultimate goal will be to impart drilling, oil, and gas knowledge and prepare students to obtain professional certification.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, a related field, or technical training through a vocational school.
  • Certified well control instructor through IADC and IWCF, or the ability to obtain certification within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Extensive experience in drilling and familiarity with the oil and gas field.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Prior experience with teaching or instruction preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach accredited IADC and IWCF well control courses and related technical classes.
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards and update training records.
  • Collaborate with associated organizations and meet deadlines.
  • Develop training courses and create appropriate material.
  • Schedule courses to meet operational requirements.
  • Assist with program simulators and well models.
  • Maintain all systems and equipment.

Additional Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of students.
  • Mentorship skills to assist less experienced instructors.
  • Subject matter expertise in Product Service Line technical knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
