Job Summary

The Sustainability Manager oversees program development, management, and execution of sustainability programs that support Levy’s strategic plan of continued growth focusing on doing what is right for people and the planet. This newly created role will expand our sustainability outreach to our clients while enhancing our services across all locations.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training programs and best practices that assist the field with implementing sustainability programs
  • Manages global sustainability projects and, measures KPIs
  • Coordinates with internal and external research, analytical, and consulting teams to develop sustainability activities and protocols; directs or supports measurement and evaluation
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Interacts professionally with a diverse group of team members, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers and embraces excellence in customer service both for internal and external customers
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including Compass Sectors and support departments, strategic partners, and other sustainability-related organizations
  • Achieves goals measured by KPIs

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in sustainability, business, hospitality, communications, or related field
  • Desired 3-5 years professional experience in sustainability, project management, hospitality industry operations or sales
  • Experience in sustainability strongly preferred, passion for sustainability required
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices
  • Project Management or sales experience strongly preferred
  • Good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills including public speaking
  • Strong presentation and time management skills; strong management and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Culinary and/or food service experience preferred
  • Ability to travel
