JOB SUMMARY

Primary responsibility is to work with the Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation of Southern Minnesota in designing, advancing, and administering multiple fundraising and communication campaigns for the Catholic Foundation of Southern Minnesota and entities contracted with the CFSM.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Development & Communication

  • Establish / create, review, coordinate and implement as directed, the development plan of the CFSM – development and stewardship campaigns including mailings, special events, and donor relation efforts. Current major campaigns are the Catholic Ministries Appeal, Hearts on Fire, March for Life, Rooted in Faith and the Seminarian Burse.

  • Work collaboratively with vendors to provide and obtain needed information for effective administration of direct mail campaigns.

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of campaign results on a periodic basis. Create ad hoc reports as requested.

  • In consultation with Executive Director of CFSM, develop and execute campaign marketing plan and materials.

  • Assist with electronic giving including credit cards and EFT, also gift entry and donor acknowledgement, as needed.

  • Assist in researching and identifying donors and sources of funding, including grants.

  • Provide assistance in organization of CFSM board packet materials and meeting.

  • Provide proactive and timely communication with constituents regarding gifts, pledges and campaign questions.

  • Administrate and maintain CFSM website and all aspects of social media.

  • Establish, maintain and provide training for interns. Coordinate volunteer efforts.

  • Create marketing materials for CFSM including brochures.

  • Develop, maintain and manage alumni relations and communications program at IHM Seminary, including marketing materials, website and social media.

  • Provide leadership in developing strategies and procedures for promoting the IHM seminary throughout the Dioceses served.

  • Assume other duties as directed / assigned.

 

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education & Experience:

  • Desired: Experience in areas of development, fundraising and knowledge of database software.

  • Marketing, Social Media and Public Relations

  • Desired: Associates or Bachelor’s degree

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience in areas of communication, marketing, development and database management

 

Other Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • People oriented; is able to work collaboratively with co-workers, vendors and donors

  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor

  • Willingness to serve as needed

  • Work schedule in excess of 40 hours weekly is the norm. Occasional nights and weekends required.

  • Ability to perform high stress multi-tasking functions & meet deadlines.

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at the computer & lift 10 + pounds.
