Accountant/Project Assistant

We are a homebuilder/developer located in Temecula, CA and looking for an Accountant/Project Assistant. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience preferably in the building/land development industry. This position is a in office position working 32 hours/4 days a week. Hours may increase to 40 hours/5 days a week during year end processing or heavy acquisition/disposition periods.

Duties may include:

· Prepares reconciliations, complex general entries and assists with financial statement preparation and other reports

· Account analysis and reconciliations

· Enter invoices, issue checks, track insurance, vendor contracts and lien releases

· Loan draw submittals to lenders using AIA form

· Assist Controller and Project Manager with project budgets

· Record escrow closing statements

· Review and process payments for all company property taxes

· Monitor & process tenant and borrower payments

· Administer payment coupons, billing statements, late and rental increase notices

· Manage and administer project bonds

· Manage and administer insurance policies

· Assist the VP of Construction with project management related tasks

· Assist the owner with land acquisition packages for equity partners and lenders

· Assist with office administration

 

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting from an accredited college

· 3-5 years of Accounting experience

· Proficient in MS Excel

· Project Accounting and Procore experience a plus
