An established Atlanta commercial insurance organization has a tremendous opportunity for an assistant underwriter to join their growing team. This position will provide support to commercial underwriters and work hand in hand with other team members in a professional environment.
This company has brand name recognition in the specialty insurance segment and will provide an insurance professional with an outstanding opportunity for growth and career development.
The primary duties for this opportunity will include servicing an assigned book of commercial insurance accounts. Main responsibilities for this role include:
- Processing binders and endorsements
- Working up account quotes
- Issuing policies
- Communicating with agents to obtain needed policy data
- Organizing system data
- Working with billing and claims data
To be considered for this position candidates must have at least 2 years of commercial insurance experience as an underwriting assistant with a managing general agency or commercial insurance company. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work accurately in a team environment. Experience with ImageRight and exposure to multiple insurance company quoting and binding systems is preferred for this role.
