We are a premier manufacturer specializing in high-quality plastic laminate and solid surface products, including wood trim, laminated cabinets, high-end reception desks, and bespoke interior fixtures. We are currently seeking a dedicated Material Purchasing Agent to support our Project Management team.

About the Role:

As a Material Purchasing Assistant, you will provide essential support in managing and streamlining the procurement process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing Support: Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers and help negotiate terms to ensure the best prices and quality.
  • Order Management: Assist with placing and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Inventory Assistance: Help monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock to meet project needs and avoid shortages.
  • Material Yield: Identify quantity and types of materials to procure based on unique designs and parts on a per job basis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales team, Project Managers, and Production staff to ensure material requirements are met.
  • Cost Tracking: Help track material costs and assist in maintaining budget compliance.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in a procurement or administrative role is preferred. Knowledge of the cabinetry and countertops industry is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Able to learn and leverage online tools. The ability to use or learn AutoCAD is necessary.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with vendors and internal teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Driven to follow up with accounts and to ensure accuracy in order processing and inventory management.
