Location: Dallas, Texas – ABOG National Center; Hybrid Work environment with expectation for 60% in office.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing current and historical financial data to provide reports that support decision making, support the Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of financial statements, and assist with the accounting internal control process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial data and deliver leverageable reporting that provides insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support preparation of financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings or expenses, which summarize and forecast the organization's financial position.
  • Assist in the internal control function with account reconciliations, transaction and account review, and segregation of duties.
  • Create financial models and develop ad hoc analysis.
  • Perform variance analysis of actual results versus prior periods, forecast and budget.
  • Gather input from business units in support of forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide assistance to cross-functional teams to deliver process improvements across the organization.
  • Assist in the preparation of Senior Leadership and Board of Directors presentations.
  • Analyze operational performance and trends, influence appropriate action to ensure financial results and objectives are maximized.
  • Create and standardize financial and operational reports/dashboards, process metrics, KPI’s, etc.
  • Become proficient with current systems that source key information required to report on business performance.
  • Additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrable Proficiency: Candidates may be required to demonstrate proficiency in essential skills during the interview process.
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience (or relevant coursework/internships) in accounting and/or finance.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Advanced proficiency specifically with Microsoft Excel (e.g., conditional logic, VLOOKUP, counting, summing, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and be able to work flexibly and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
