The Primary Therapist serves a fundamental role within the organization and is responsible for specific therapeutic focus and intervention including group, individual, and family/couples psychotherapy. Thorough and timely clinical documentation is an essential component of this role. The Primary Therapist works collaboratively with our team of doctors, psychologists, therapists, and behavioral health staff to provide an integrative, comprehensive, and holistic treatment experience for the patients we serve.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
● Provide psychotherapy to individuals.
● Lower caseload to allow for quality, comprehensive care and emphasize and promote Clinician wellness.
● Plan and facilitate group therapy sessions.
● Document clinical services in company systems promptly.
● Demonstrate integrity and responsibility for all legal and ethical requirements.
● Participates in team meetings, in-service training, and other meetings or trainings.
Requirements:
● A Master’s or Doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited university in Social Work, Marital and Family Therapy, Psychology, or LPCC.
● Current and valid license with the Board of Behavioral Health Services or Board of Psychology or current and valid Associate registration.
● At least 3 years experience working in SUD, MH, or various behavioral health settings.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Experience with evidence-based therapeutic interventions and proficiency in implementation.
● A professional manner, positive attitude, and punctuality.
● Ability to work independently and interdependently within a multidisciplinary team.
● Understanding and adherence to HIPAA, ASAM, and compliance and privacy measures/requirements of accrediting bodies.
