Waypoint is an award-winning dealership representing boats from Sylvan and SouthBay, SeaArk , Varatti, Tige and Crownline that has been in business for more than 33 years . We are a certified service center for Mercruy/Mercruiser, Volvo, and Suzuki. Our dealership performs service in our well-equipped service facility with an on-site test tank as well as providing lakeside service to our customers at the Marinas and Private Docks.

The marine technician position will involve working on Mechanical and Electrical systems found on Stern Drives, and Inboards. This candidate should have a solid mechanical and troubleshooting background. Experience in marine specific repair is encouraged, but not required. Manufacturer training and schools are available.

Waypoint can provide great earning potential, comprehensive health benefits, paid holidays and vacation time. Compensation is based on previous experience and training. Shifts are Tuesday thru Saturday and Mondays during peak season or as business demands. Considering joining our Waypoint team.

Common boat repairs: I/O outdrive service. Gimbal bearing, bellows, shift cable, steering cable transom seal kit, tune-ups and water pump replacements.

Examine the boat and discuss the damage or malfunction's nature or extent with the service advisor or customer.

Perform diagnostics and repair of all marine engines and transmissions, drives, or generators.

• Perform mechanical repair work such as:
  • Remove the engine, transom, or outdrive.
  • Disassemble the unit and inspect parts for wear.
  • Overhaul or replace carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, pumps, electrical and fuel systems.
  • Rebuild parts such as engine cylinder blocks.
  • Rewire the ignition system, lights, and instrument panel.
  • Replace and adjust taillights.

Waypoint Marine A Highly respectable company, is looking for entry level to experienced technician for full time/all year round.... Shop tasks would include: Service calls by boat, service calls by car, rigging of new boats (pontoons--fishing boats and pleasure boats), preventative maintenance on all vessels, trouble shooting of all makes of engines, shop cleanliness after completion of each task, Occasional customer communication and possible work order writing. Backing trailers, tractor driving skills, docking, safe boat driving are a must. We are a Suzuki, Volvo and a  Mercury Platinum dealership.  We are willing to work with applicants that are entry level as well. Please understand pay is based upon overall experience with applicants contribution to our facility.
