HR Manager

Are you ready for a next step in a multinational and people centric company, leader in the chemical sector? We are looking for an experienced HR Manager, to lead the HR area for one of their sites located in Vallirana (Barcelona).

The main objective of this role will be to help the business or function to achieve objectives by giving good quality HR advice and guidance based on sound HR knowledge, professionalism and an understanding of the HR Strategy and practices, as well as working

with other areas of the HR Operating Model to ensure a comprehensive high quality HR service to our internal customers.

Main responsibilities of this role are:

• Lead in managing employee and industrial relations at the relevant level working with employee or works councils and local Union representatives.
• Provide HR advice and implement any restructuring or organizational project in scope.
• Lead the employee Lifecycle Management, by coaching and supporting people managers so that they have the necessary capability to carry out activities in the annual employee calendar.
• Lead daily HR Operations
• Facilitate Operational Workforce Planning at the relevant level working with the business/function
• Support and/or lead local plans for standardization and continuous improvement within the country
• Safeguard the company by ensuring compliance to local legal requirements in all aspects of HR policy, taking advice from outside legal advisors where required
• Manage local labor relations (unions, work councils)

The main requirements for this role are:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Professional experience in industrial environment
• At least 10 years of HRBP experience or 5 – 7 years of experience in a similar role as HR manager
• Native Spanish and fluent English (both written and spoken)
• Catalan will be valuable
• Experience in dealing with work council and unions
• SAP knowledge will be a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly developed interpersonal skills – individual, group
• Ability to excel in a fast paced, complex environment and meet tight deadlines
