Job Description:

As a Tool Stores Inventory Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing our Non Production Materials (NPM) inventory and ensuring efficient operations within the tool stores. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring Inventory: Regularly assess NPM inventory levels on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis to identify opportunities for optimization, including reducing float, increasing turnover, and addressing potential issues such as theft or loss.

  • Disposition of Excess Material: Collaborate with Maintenance and Controllers Office to dispose of excess and obsolete material in compliance with company procedures and regulations.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective measures to rectify record inaccuracies, such as negative balances on hand.

  • Inter-Plant Transfers: Process inter-plant transfers and shipments as required to ensure smooth material flow between locations.

  • Order Management: Review open order reports, confirm receipt of material, and manage disposition of inventoried items accordingly.

  • Non-Conformance Management: Log non-conformances in the designated repository and engage with suppliers to resolve issues promptly.

  • Third-Party Interface: Liaise with third-party providers regarding internal or external inventory requests or issues, including repair warranty and chemical management.

  • Order Validation: Review tool store requests (TSRs) and assess repetitive buys to validate orders based on usage/activity, canceling unnecessary orders to optimize inventory levels.

  • Supporting WCM Activities: Contribute to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives by conducting daily housekeeping reviews, performing 5-S checks, and participating in Kaizen events. Additionally, support WCM Pillar committees as required.

  • Training: Assist in training plant personnel on creating RFMs (Request for Materials) and TSRs to streamline the ordering process.

  • Collaboration: Support Order Processing & Control (OPC) on ordering and follow-up issues as needed to ensure efficient inventory management.

  • Cycle Counting: Participate in all cycle count activities to support monthly audit requirements, collaborating with counters and service provider employees to address count variances and implement corrective actions.

  • System Access: Assist in providing NPIC system access as required to relevant personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory management or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
