Mold Technician

Job Summary 

The Mold Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of urethane molding equipment. This individual will be responsible for adhering to a production schedule, while ensuring product quality and machine uptime. The Mold Technician must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently to help troubleshoot basic process disruptions and quality issues and communicate effectively to the Operations Manager. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Follow all regulatory and safety compliance for all processes related to and supporting the production area. 

• Read and follow job travelers, work instructions and molding procedures. 

• Must be able to read blueprints for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances. 

• Mold Technician must be able to blend resins and curatives accordingly to compound formula. 

• Knowledge of pressure vessels and heating tables. 

• Knowledge of inspection tools such as durometers, calipers and thermometers. 

• Other duties as needed.

• Basic English language skills 

• Mathematical skills 

• Reasoning and problem-solving skills 

• Basic hand tool skills 

• Basic blueprint reading 

• Basic computer skills 

Physical Demands  

• Able to lift to 50 lbs.  

• Prolonged standing.
