Job Title: Electrical Installer 

GENERAL DUTIES: Build Police, Fire and Public Works Vehicles - Installation of all vehicle equipment, Radios, Lighting equipment as needed. Some Custom Fabrication.

Under direct supervision of Shop Manager, Installer will work as an hourly employee. The individual shall be capable of working without direct supervision. Skills must include computer proficiency, job tracking, time management and accounting of time. Position will install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot, 12V Automotive Electrical systems.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday
  • 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Range:

  • $17 - $19 per hour
  • Salary review and benefits upon permanent hire

Duties include:
· Installation of equipment as directed by management
· Maintain Documentation of technical support
· Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot, 12V Automotive Electrical, as it pertains to aftermarket equipment
· Perform Installation of Emergency Warning Equipment
· Test/Troubleshoot Emergency Warning Equipment
· Keep on budget with Schedule set forth by management
· Ensure safety procedures are meet to keep everyone safe.
· Maintain Documentation of electrical diagrams and other tools on a per vehicle basis to help with future installs and for troubleshooting.

Requirements:
· GED or equivalent
· Positive attitude
· Technologically literate with strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel and other commonly used software.
· Good internet skills, including use of e‐mail programs and group messaging
· Good organizational skills and record keeping (attention to detail is critical)
· Motivated, dependable, detail oriented

Skills:
· Entry Level
· Knowledge of OHMS Law
· Knowledge of 12v Systems
· Basic Fabrication Skills

Abilities:
· Use of Hand Tools, Volt Meter, Power Tools, Drill Press, and other related tools.
· Work independently and efficiently.
· Demonstrate high level of mechanical/electrical aptitude.
· Ability to lift and carry 50lbs or more
· Ability to work well with others
· Utilize hand tools, power tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls, and other small parts
· Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and infrequent lifting up to 75 lbs.
· Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day
· Ability to climb over and into and under vehicles and equipment several times per day
· Occasional working at heights above 10 ft.
· Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.

EMPLOYEE TOOLS:
Employee should possess and provide an extensive collection of personal tools to perform the required task.
Specialty Tools will be discussed with management and be provided if warranted.
