Duration : Full time & Direct Hire

Job Overview:
As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for handling a wide variety of accounting and tax-related duties. Primary duties include preparing sales tax returns, annual reports, and 1099’s for multiple entities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of sales tax returns in multiple states for multiple entities.
  • Preparation of annual reports in multiple states for multiple entities.
  • Prepare mailings for quarterly and annual tax filings.
  • Preparation of 1099 calculations.
  • Assist with preparing tax payments.
  • Assist with updating spreadsheets related to tax filings.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Professional and articulate in written and verbal communication; ability to build a rapport with all personality types and all levels of staff.
  • Ability to act independently manage priorities effectively.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional problem determination skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Skills and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in related functions.
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping experience.
  • QuickBooks software experience.
