Are you a college student looking for a great job? We will train the right person for this position. 

The Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) & SolidWorks software. This position requires strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret and create mechanical and engineering designs. The Drafter will be expected to work on a variety of projects and collaborate with other departments to ensure that the designs meet the desired specifications. Position hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm. Hours are flexible if needed for college schedule.

 

Drafter Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create CAD drawings, sketches, and diagrams from verbal and written instructions
  • Consult with engineers and other technical personnel to interpret design specifications. Analyze drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards and specifications
  • Prepare and maintain technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics
  • Maintain a database of drawings and documents

Drafter Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in drafting or related field
  • Experience with 3D modeling and animation software preferred
  • Knowledge of CAD drafting standards and conventions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
