Collision Estimator 

We are searching for an experienced and detail-oriented Collision Estimator to join our high-quality collision repair team. 

The Collision Estimator is responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates for automotive collision repairs or replacements. This role involves communicating with customers, inspecting, and assessing vehicles for damage, documenting findings, and providing estimates for repair or replacement costs. The Collision Estimator will work closely with customers and insurance companies to determine the most appropriate solution for the repair needs of each vehicle. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and communicating with other departments and suppliers to ensure estimates are accurate and meet customer requirements. The successful candidate must have excellent communications, customer service and problem-solving skills, as well as a good understanding of automotive repair and insurance industry standards. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Promptly greet customers and perform vehicle inspections 
  • Meet deadlines for the shop and the insurance company needs 
  • Minimize needs for supplements and minimize cycle time 
  • Maintain consistent communication between insurance companies and customers 
  • Input all necessary information into company system for every vehicle 
  • Stay up to date and follow instructions and guidelines of management and expectations of insurance companies 
  • Stay up to date with statuses of all vehicle and related parts 

 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Minimum 2 years estimating experience a must
  • Must have a valid driver’s license & a clean driving record 
  • Have an advanced understanding and knowledge of the repair process and procedures 
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication (phone/written/oral) and negotiation skills 
  • Great organizational & effective time management skills 
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, high-volume environment 
  • Be able to maintain a positive attitude & professional demeanor 
  • Must have experience with CCC One 
  • Ability to do consistent physical activity reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lift objects over 50lbs
