Job Description
The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for performing or assisting with installation, programming and checkout of systems and service installed fire alarm jobs. Types of systems include all EST/Edwards fire alarm and mass notification systems. The Fire Alarm Technician will install or supervise the installation of conduit, wire, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with special systems
We are also be looking for installers who are well versed in the cat 5 and ca6 and security systems. as well as individuals with Fiber experience in the future.
Job Duties
These individuals will be doing fire alarm installations both inside plant work around a construction site pulling low voltage wiring. this person will be a member of a technical team.
- Perform job installation per engineered drawings.
- Provide leadership on small projects.
- Act as the company liaison for the interface with customer representative(s).
- Provide working knowledge of installed fire alarm systems.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting.
- Understand all phases of construction, maintain project documentation and create red-lined field drawings per company policies and procedures.
- Program small to large, more complex systems, including system integration (Fireworks).
- Adhere to and participate in all company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
- Be competent with a computer
Qualifications
- 2 -5 years with Fire Alarm technicians
- 2-5 year experience running cable and conduit experience
- 2-5 years of programming complex systems-certifications are a plus
