Job Overview: We are seeking a General Laborer with limited equipment experience but a strong desire to learn more about excavation and construction. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced operators and gain hands-on experience with various pieces of equipment. Initially, you will primarily operate compactors and loaders, with opportunities to progress to larger heavy equipment within the first few months. Our goal is to promote General Laborers to Heavy Equipment Operators within two years.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete excavation and construction projects.
  • Operate compactors and loaders under the guidance of experienced operators.
  • Learn to operate larger heavy equipment as skills develop.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assist with general labor tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work hard.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Interest in learning about construction and heavy equipment operation.
  • Desire for a long-term career in civil construction.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Physical ability to lift objects weighing 75+ pounds.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks related to excavating residential foundations, adhering to project timelines and specifications.
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, compactors, skid steers, and trucks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and plans, ensuring work is performed according to specifications.
  • Install water and sewer services with precision and accuracy.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Inspect and maintain heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lift and move heavy objects weighing 75+ pounds as needed.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and flexibility in work schedule.
  • Provide own reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Qualifications:

  • Experience installing water and sewer services.
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Excellent physical condition to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with work schedule.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
