About the Position

The Equipment Finance Associate is a skilled, knowledge-driven role with accounting experience and strong communication and analytical skills. The Equipment Finance Associate will work closely with the Director of Finance and other staff members to achieve business objectives through record-keeping and compliance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting functions including, but not limited to, journal entries, account reconciliations, lease set-up and cancelations, maintaining lease subsidiary ledger and month-end close.
  • Account for owned and leased equipment used in the company’s rental and lease purchase programs.
  • Research and account for internal and external vendor invoices to properly account for transactions on the general ledger.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and analysis to support external financial statement audits.
  • Organize and maintain lease contracts and related supporting documentation.
  • Assist with insurance reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with new commission agent set up.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Assist in responding to auditor requests.
  • Participate in due diligence and integration work on acquisitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accounting or finance-related discipline.
  • 2 plus years of progressive work experience, showing evidence of growth in responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound fundamental knowledge of GAAP, general finance and budgeting principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office products with strong Excel skills
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize multiple tasks/projects to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional personal organizational skills
