This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical, welding, and automation (including Allan Bradley PLCs), as well as proven leadership abilities to manage a dedicated maintenance team and department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and staff.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintenance Management:
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of all equipment and facilities.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Provide technical guidance and support in areas such as electrical systems, welding, and automation (including Allan Bradley PLCs).
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Manage the procurement of maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Budget and Reporting:
  • Develop and manage the maintenance department budget.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and department metrics.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and facility improvements.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Work closely with other departments to minimize disruption to production during maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance within manufacturing and industrial settings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, welding, and automation (including Allan Bradley PLCs).
  • Proven experience leading and managing maintenance teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
