Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within our manufacturing and industrial facilities. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical, welding, and automation (including Allan Bradley PLCs), as well as proven leadership abilities to manage a dedicated maintenance team and department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and staff.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintenance Management:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of all equipment and facilities.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support in areas such as electrical systems, welding, and automation (including Allan Bradley PLCs).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Manage the procurement of maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Budget and Reporting:
- Develop and manage the maintenance department budget.
- Monitor and control maintenance costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and department metrics.
- Project Management:
- Lead and coordinate maintenance projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and facility improvements.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Work closely with other departments to minimize disruption to production during maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance within manufacturing and industrial settings.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, welding, and automation (including Allan Bradley PLCs).
- Proven experience leading and managing maintenance teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
