Requirements:
- Completion of a two or four-year Respiratory Care Program (CoARC accreditation preferred).
- Certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) in Minnesota or eligibility for a temporary RT permit.
- Possession of a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card (acquirable upon employment).
- Mandatory Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 180 days of hire.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of patients and devising personalized respiratory care plans.
- Administering various treatments and therapies, including aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
- Monitoring patient progress and adapting treatment plans as needed.
- Educating patients and their families on respiratory health management.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
