Tooling and Calibration Specialist

Kongsberg Protech Systems USA in Johnstown, PA is seeking to fill the position of Tooling and Calibration Specialist. Tooling and Calibration Specialist will perform tooling maintenance, update and maintain calibration log, and Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) verification testing.

Essential job functions are:

• Develop and maintain a tooling calibration plan as defined by the Quality Engineer and Production Manager.
• Maintain and repair tooling as necessary.
• Coordinate tooling returns with the RMA coordinator and purchasing personnel.
• Perform pull testing on crimp tooling.
• Perform ESD verifications and audits in ESD Controlled Areas.
• Properly use and care for Personal Protective Equipment including air respirators and other protective clothing.
• Troubleshoot problems/concerns.
• Communicate with other employees to resolve deficiencies.
• Initiate, support and participate in Training and Cross-Training.
• Promote company policies.
• Promote teamwork.
• Maintain a tooling location and calibration log.

A High school diploma/general education degree (GED) required.

Experience required:

• At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• 6 months experience using basic calibration or test equipment in a production environment preferred.
• Mechanical skills helpful.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent math skills.
