RISE Housing and Support Services has an opportunities for a Nurse Practitioner to serve as the Medical Director of our OMH-licensed crisis residence SunRISE Retreat and/or our OASAS-licensed rehabilitation program RISE Above. A successful candidate will enjoy inspiring their team and while ensuring the program residents are receiving excellent support during their time us, as they work toward recovery from a mental health crisis or substance use.

RISE offers a Part-Time Medical Director:

  • A competitive salary of $95,000 to $115,000 per year for a 20 hours per week schedule
    • An opportunity for a full-time schedule and salary to oversee both programs for the right candidate

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all medical/clinical services provided by the program(s)
  • Providing supervision to medical/clinical staff
  • Ensuring policy, procedure, and regulatory compliance
  • Reviewing and prescribing medications
  • Managing program budget
  • Evaluating and supporting crisis interventions

To qualify you must have:

  • Nurse Practitioner certified through the NYS Department of Education, psychiatric specialty preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with individuals living with serious mental illness or a substance use diagnosis
  • An ability to remain calm under pressure while directing and inspiring team members
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal boundaries
  • Our shared belief system in areas such as compassion, respect, positivity, and inclusion
  • Successful completion of RISE background checks, a valid driver’s license and a driving history acceptable to the RISE automobile policy
