About the Role:

The Medical Director will provide part-time services in an outpatient clinic setting, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with ALS. This role will involve managing and addressing goals of care and treatment plans, as well as providing guidance and education to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ALS Medical Services team in providing high-quality patient care and developing treatment plans
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients with ALS
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
  • Provide education and training to staff on ALS care and management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services

Requirements:

  • NYS licensure
  • DEA certification required
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
  • Fellowship training or work experience in Palliative Care, Hospice, Neurology or Physiatry would be a plus
