SUMMARY

Responsible for minor setup adjustments and quality checks of the envelope machine operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform minor setup on machines in a timely manner. Clean the machine prior to setup.
  • Make minor adjustments/ corrections to ensure the dimensions and quality of the piece; monitor production.
  • Perform cutting operations; make necessary minor adjustments.
  • Perform folder operations and operate the folder.
  • Perform quality checks per work instructions.
  • Hand-gather finished work and pack as necessary.
  • Perform other department operations as required.
  • Keep the immediate work area neat and orderly.
  • Comply with company rules and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
  • Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.
  • Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED.

COMPETENCIES

  • Thorough understanding of envelope manufacturing equipment setup and operation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor machine repairs.
  • Ability to apply written instructions to machine operation and product quality.
  • Good math skills
  • Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to work station
  • Demonstrates a positive safety attitude

Hours

2nd Continuous Shift 7 pm-7 am (4 days on/4 days off)
