Are you a creative, outgoing, and community-focused individual looking for a part-time opportunity? Join our fun, innovative, and collaborative team We're on the hunt for someone who’s ready to connect, educate, and promote Workforce Solutions Borderplex and the incredible programs we offer. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media, content creation, and marketing, with a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills. You’ll be at the heart of our communications efforts, managing content for social media channels and other platforms. You’ll also help represent or capture pictures, and videos of our participation in various events. If you have strong digital skills, excel in interpersonal outreach, and love planning events, this role is perfect for you. This is a part-time role, not to exceed 25 work hours per week.

Role and Responsibilities

Depending on organizational needs, may:

  • Create and distribute engaging content for social media, and other digital channels.
  • Analyze content for accessibility and effectiveness and recommend improvements for our online presence.
  • Monitor and report digital analytics of web, social media traffic, and targeted campaigns, providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
  • Assist in managing the visual, photographic, and audiovisual elements of our communications.
  • Maintain digital asset management of graphics or videos developed for social media, web, or outreach events.
  • Attend in and out of office press conferences, meetings, community events, and more; conduct interviews and ensure accuracy and completeness of materials.
  • Assist with promoting programs for community and professional groups.
  • Assist with planning of outreach events.
  • Work hand in hand with outreach contractors.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, including email marketing, newsletters, and print materials.
  • Other related duties as assigned

Experience and Education Requirements
  • College students pursuing a marketing, journalism, public relations, advertising, or communications degree are encouraged to apply.


  • At least two years of relevant experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience, is required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Knowledge of agency functions, policies, and social media platforms; skilled in editorial practices.
  • Proficiency with computers and content creation software.
  • Ability to research, prepare, and design communication materials and create engaging digital content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Other: Ability to attend events and work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
