Construction Materials Testing Technician

Summary
L&G Engineering is looking for a Construction Material Testing Technician. On the job training will be provided for this entry-level position. This position supports the Construction Materials and Geotechnical Laboratories by performing tests on soil, rock or concrete samples for engineering/construction applications.

Key Responsibilities
Testing of soil, aggregate, or concrete
Perform data calculations
Other duties as directed by the Laboratory Manager

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in a laboratory setting is preferred but not required
Clean driving record in the last 36 months

Skills and Abilities
Must be able to work productively, independently and as part of the team.
Must follow written and verbal instructions for test method compliance and project management direction
Able to multitask when needed
Flexibility and willingness to modify personal schedule as required to meeting deadlines
Basic math and computer skills required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
