Interview Steps:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within Human Resources.
  • 2-3 years of union experience required.
  • Proven success in team building, collaboration with physicians, project management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Effective human relations skills for interfacing with team members, staff at all levels, physicians, patients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Capable of handling confidential information with a high degree of sensitivity.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Weekend requirements: Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • This is a full-time, day-shift position as a Human Resources Director within the Human Resources (People Services) department, with evening and weekend work as needed.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the People Services Director (PSD) will play a pivotal role in collaborating with department directors, managers, and supervisors to provide administrative oversight and leadership across all departments in the organization.
  • The PSD will lead strategic organizational initiatives and be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the entire People Services function for both the Community Medical Center and the Community Physicians Group.
  • This role encompasses areas such as Compensation, Benefits Administration, Education, Employment Services, HRIS, and Labor Relations.
  • The PSD will be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and participate as Administrator on Call (AOC) in a regular rotation with other SLT members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment.
