SUMMARY

This position is responsible for purchasing job materials designated by internal customers. The jobholder is responsible for providing excellent order management, customer service, and maintaining strong professional relationships with approved suppliers. In addition, the jobholder will manage inventory levels, rejected/overstock materials, and logistics goals.

This position is also responsible for supporting LSI quality and revenue goals by dispositioning unusable materials and gaining supplier contributions. The jobholder is responsible for timely dissemination of condition details and routing of material transfers, as well as contribution realization through strong professional relationships with approved suppliers.

The jobholder will develop tools and standards to expedite these goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use ERP system to enter, submit and manage purchase orders for key suppliers.

  • Use ERP system to record, monitor and manage plant interactions and supplier communications.

  • Use data to plan and order stock materials according to business strategy and informed goals.

  • Monitor and disposition overstock and rejected materials by obtaining supplier commitments.

  • Manage all logistics according to material movement goals.

  • Pursue and report supplier delivery commitments.

  • Plan and acquire supplier sample materials organized to support new product launches and market initiatives.

  • Oversee RMA logistics and inventory/revenue goals under supervision of Supply Chain Manager

  • Obtain and document warranty standards and product specific concessions of LSI suppliers.

  • Maintain product quality condition database(s) and forms.

  • Process and resolve invoicing and supplier credit goals with accounting team.

  • Disseminate supplier quality feedback to Sales, Customer Service, and Plant.

  • Facilitate and interpret ERP reporting toward quality, inventory, and revenue goals.

  • As needed, prepare and submit material orders in support of department goals.

  • Other duties and tasks, as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer focused environment, preferably in a similar, material acquisition role, and/or a B2B or B2C environment

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of corporate ERP and computer applications such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business-to-business customer service role or similar.
